Gracious God, we pray for our entire families and for all who have influenced our lives, for the happiness of good memories and for the healing of sad ones, for the forgiveness of those who have wronged us, and for peace of heart with those to whom we did not or could not say, “I’m sorry.”

• For all deceased members of our families who, in Your great mercy, Lord, You may forgive their sins and welcome them into eternal life with You.

• For those of us with children and grandchildren and all other family members with whom we have experienced times both rewarding and challenging and with whom we have shared events both enriching and painful.

• For all those we know and love and for whom we may be presently anxious or concerned—for their return to You, dear God, and to the sacraments.

• For those who are ill and in need of healing, for those who are out of school or unemployed, for those burdened with worries, fears, disappointments, addictions, and mental illness.

In your great mercy, Lord, hear our prayers and grant our petitions for peace of mind and heart for all in need of Your blessings, compassion, wisdom, and saving grace.
