As Parishes on the Prairie ACC, the virtue of hospitality is important to us. Our goal is to become a welcoming community that extends a friendly invitation to each member to become active in building the Body of Christ. In our parishes, “Let Me Be Your Servant” is an appropriate theme as we strive to live as Jesus taught us.
Just as Jesus welcomes every person with open arms, we welcome the presence and involvement of our our members—whether they are longtime parishioners, new families, or just recently returning to the Church. Just like the father in the story of the Prodigal Son, God welcomes each and every one of us to come home. As a community of faith, we strive to show Christ’s love and kindness to those we encounter. Will you prayerfully discern how God is calling you to be His servant in welcoming others?

Funeral Ministry
Funeral Dinners
This funeral dinner ministry offers comfort to mourners by assisting the family in planning the meal and providing the funeral meal, if desired. Teams are led by co-coordinators and volunteers are called to help set up, make, serve and clean up after funeral lunches.
Funeral Ushers
Ushers are needed to serve our parishioners at Funeral Masses throughout the week, greeting those who mourn, directing mourners to their seats and providing needed information pertaining to the funeral service.
Homebound Ministry
As a support to the pastor and the deacons, ministers carry the Holy Eucharist to patients in the hospital, to shut-ins at home, nursing homes and assisted living facilities.
First Saturday Ministry
As an extension of the usual homebound ministry, this ministry brings communion and prays the Rosary on First Saturdays at Getty Street and the Nursing Home. Volunteers would need to be/become commissioned Extraordinary Ministers of Communion. Training is provided.
